The Prize with a Surprise Inside

Avira personal anti-virus software did its job when it posted:

The file ‘F:\RavMon.exe’ contained a virus or unwanted program ‘TR/Agent.Abt.3’ [trojan]”

Here’s the thing. The malware was detected after plugging in a ‘Digital Media Player’ that was won from the reflex-based, block stacking prize game at the Coralwood Theater in Cape Coral.

The markings on the generic packaging: “UPC: 799019431287 | Item#: HE3128″

Sure it was shrink wrapped. And sure, the fact that the 128MB USB device didn’t work all that well (what could I expect for $1.50 in quarters?) The fact remains that there was a f*@#ing computer virus in a prize.
